Authorities investigating after man found dead in the woods in southern Indiana

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police are investigating after a man's body was found in Jackson County, Indiana, on Thursday.

Deputies found the man in the woods near the Bellford Bridge around 7:15 p.m. That's over the White River, west of Seymour, Lt. Adam Nicholson, with the Jackson County Sheriff's Office, said.

The investigation is ongoing and an autopsy is being scheduled to determine how the man died. His identity is not being released until family is notified.
