LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville rapper Jack Harlow was dismissed from multiple lawsuits surrounding the 2021 shooting of a woman by his longtime DJ, Ronnie O'Bannon.

Harlow was a defendant in three lawsuits, including one filed by the family of 37-year-old Kasmira Nash, who was was shot and killed May 1, 2021, during a Derby Eve event at the Vibes Restaurant and Lounge attended by Harlow and O'Bannon.

The lawsuits claimed, in part, the nightclub failed to provide proper security for the event and that Harlow and O'Bannon were allowed in, because of Harlow's status, without having to go through the same screenings that were required for everyone else. This allowed O'Bannon to get a gun into the club.

On April 9, a judge dismissed three suits naming Harlow, with all parties agreeing to pay their own court costs, according to court records.

It's not clear in court records if there was a settlement of any kind.

Harlow's attorney, Brian Butler, declined to comment.

The lawsuits were filed by Nash's family, a second shooting victim who  survived and a person who claimed she was trampled in the aftermath of the shooting.

O'Bannon, who also goes by Ronnie Lucciano, pleaded guilty in December 2023 to reckless homicide and tampering charges and accepted a sentence of 2 ½ years incarceration, which he has already served by that time.

O'Bannon had argued he was was acting in self-defense when he fatally shot Nash, a mother of two and server at Vibes Restaurant and Ultra Lounge.

Nash's family filed a lawsuit against the club and owner Evans, later amending that lawsuit to include Harlow, security company, Sentryx Security, LLC, and a company Harlow contracts with, Generation Now, LLC.

Shortly after the shooting, Harlow posted a statement saying, "My heart is broken by the events that occurred over Derby weekend. My heart breaks for Kasmira, her children, and everyone else touched by this tragic death. Nothing can reverse what happened. Too many lives have been changed forever. My life will remain committed to making Louisville a better place."
