LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Two women were shot inside a home in Louisville's Chickasaw neighborhood early Wednesday, and the husband of one of the women is facing charges.
According to a release from Louisville Metro Police, officers were called to South 36th Street just south of Dumesnil Street about 3:15 a.m. When officers arrived, they found the women with gunshot wounds.
Both women were taken to UofL Health Hospital in downtown Louisville. Both are expected to survive, but the extent of their injuries were not given.
Police took Ronald Howard into custody at the scene. The release said he is the husband to one of the women and brother-in-law to the other.
Howard is charged with Assault 1st, Assault 1st (Domestic Violence) and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. LMPD's Domestic Violence Unit is handling the investigation.
