JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (WDRB) -- Three properties associated with Jamey Noel were listed for sale as the state of Indiana wants to release property seized in the case to potentially pay the $3.1 million he owes in restitution.

As part of the plea deal, the former Clark County sheriff was ordered to pay more than $3.1 million in restitution to four different public agencies: New Chapel EMS, Indiana Department of Revenue, the Clark County Sheriff's Department and Indiana State Police.

The state wants to return the property to the entities so it can be used for some of the restitution.

Noel is ordered to pay the following amounts to each agency:

  • $2,870,924 to Utica Township Volunteers Firefighters Association (dba New Chapel EMS)
  • $173,155.07 to the Indiana Department of Revenue
  • $61,190.77 to the Clark County Sheriff's Department
  • $35,245.60 to Indiana State Police

A week after Noel was sentenced to prison, Noel's estranged wife and daughter requested a judge allow them to sell three of their homes. Misty and Kasey Noel, who are also charged in the case against Jamey Noel, asked Special Judge Larry Medlock's permission to sell houses in Jeffersonville and Florida. They claimed they can't afford their mortgages and need the money to pay off potential restitution.

Misty Noel originally requested to sell their property on Turnberry Drive in Jeffersonville and home in Naples, Florida. In court documents, both women said they want to keep their home on Old Tay Bridge in Jeffersonville since they're all staying there.

This past week, three properties associated with the Noels were listed on Zillow. The listed agent confirmed the listings.

A 6,558-square-foot Victorian style home in Jeffersonville located at 2408 Turnberry Drive, across from the Ohio River is listed for $700,000.

The pole barn in Jeffersonville where Jamey Noel stored his classic cars was also listed. The 11,081-square-foot garage with an attached apartment and portable cabin sitting on 1.5 acres is listed for $496,000.

And the home that Kasey Noel has lived in is also up for sale. The 2,281-square-foot log cabin styled home in Jeffersonville is listed for $302,000.

There is also a court hearing in Clark County scheduled for Tuesday afternoon.

The state is requesting New Chapel EMS not sell assets that could be used to pay the state back in money it has lost.

In October, Jamey Noel was sentenced to 12 years in prison after pleading guilty to 27 felonies for theft and fraud.

The Indiana Department of Correction lists Noel as an inmate at New Castle Correctional Annex. It's a little more than 50 miles east of Indianapolis. He has a projected release date of June 2033.

Medlock accepted a plea agreement calling for the incarceration and millions in restitution, telling Noel his "greed" caused tremendous pain for his employees, family members and the people in his community. The sentence was actually 15 years in prison, but three of those years were suspended to probation.

Jamey Noel, 53, pleaded guilty to theft, obstruction of justice, tax evasion, money laundering, corrupt business influence and official misconduct Aug. 26. He agreed to the plea deal nearly a year after he was arrested and Indiana State Police investigators raided his home in southern Indiana.
