LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Keeneland Spring Meet begins in one week.
Next Friday launches 15 days of racing at the track just outside of Lexington, Kentucky.
The first Saturday of the meet is Toyota Blue Grass Day, which is the biggest racing day of the year at Keeneland. The top race on the card is the $1.25 million Bluegrass Stakes. The winner gets a spot in the Kentucky Derby.
In all, the Spring Meet will offer five Grade 1 stakes races.
The Spring Meet has racing Wednesdays through Sundays with a daily first post of 1 p.m. except closing day April 25, when the first race is 12:30 p.m.
There won't be any racing April 20 due to Easter.Â
