LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Nelson County Sheriff's Office arrested a gas station employee accused in a possible sexual assault earlier this week.
The sheriff's office announced the arrest in a Facebook post.
Deputies said a 17-year-old girl told police it happened Sept. 14 when she bought gas and other items from the Creek Mart gas station on Louisville Road. According to the post, the teen was leaving but was waved back inside by 30-year-old Ketan Patel. She said Patel gave her a free vape, grabbed her chest and tried to pull her into the freezer area.
The teen was able to get away and called her parents. When police arrived, they spoke to Patel and the teen's parents.
Patel was subsequently arrested. He is now charged with unlawful imprisonment, unlawful transaction with a minor and unlawful transaction with a minor involving an illegal sex act.
