LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky Kingdom is now open for the season.
The amusement park in Louisville kicked off the season with new rides, interactive play areas and an $11 million expansion called Discovery Meadow. It features six new acres with 24 new and re-themed attractions and experiences, along with two new dining options.
The park has rides for little children, but also rollercoasters for adults.
Discovery Meadow is a space guests want to check out.
"It features three brand new rides, 10 refreshed rides," said Carly Uglow, Kentucky Kingdom director of marketing. "It's got very immersive theming and a story telling element to it that focuses on Kentucky nature."
The Hurricane Bay Water Park will open May 24. Single day tickets are $45 and season pass tickets start at $80.
