LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police in Jeffersonville and Louisville worked together to seize over four pounds of pot, 20 pounds of synthetic pot and $66,000 in cash.
According to a news release from Jeffersonville Police, officers served a search warrant at a residence on Crestview Court in Jeffersonville. The search warrant was part of a lengthy drug investigation involving possession and distribution of synthetic Cannabinoids, commonly called "Spice."
While Jeffersonville officers completed their search, officers from the Louisville Metro Police Department and the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office searched a stash house on Southwestern Parkway in Louisville. Combined, investigators seized over 20 pounds of spice, four pounds of marijuana, and more than $66,000 in cash.
Also seized were approximately 10,000 Candyman plastic capsules used to package and sell spice, a money counter, and 3 vehicles.
The total street value of the spice and marijuana seized is over $100,000. A suspect was located and identified as part of the investigation, which is still ongoing.
