Louisville allergy clinic to offer walk-in availability twice a week at location near Hikes Point

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Getting help for allergies will soon be a little easier for patients in Louisville.

Advanced ENT & Allergy is opening a walk-in clinic at it's Breckenridge Lane location.

The office is one of six in Kentuckiana that already sees patients by appointment. With the walk-in clinic, patients can now get help on a day-of, first come, first serve basis.

"The Ohio Valley, we are known for our allergies, so patients being able to come in and get that first step into the process of evaluating their allergies, what we can do to help them, and then what they can do, in the long run will be a great benefit for our community that suffers from allergies in our area," said Kaela Orwick, clinical nurse practitioner.

Orwick will be overseeing the walk-in clinic.

Starting in August, the Breckenridge Lane location will offer the walk-in clinic on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

You do not have to be an existing patient to walk in for an appointment.

"I think the great thing is getting our name out there and helping serve the community," Robert Foster, director of operations for Advanced ENT & Allergy, said.

Depending on how the walk-in clinic goes at the location, Advanced ENT & Allergy hopes to expand. That would mean walk-in clinics two days each week at it's New Albany and Dixie Highway offices.
