LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Have you been wondering why Louisville's mayor and the Archbishop are smiling down on you as you drive to work?

New billboards scattered throughout Louisville feature prominent city leaders with the slogan, "Metro Police, You Rock!"

It's a way for the Metro Police Foundation to say thank you to police for everything they do.

The billboards feature Mayor Greg Fischer, Archbishop Joseph Kurtz and St. Stephens pastor Kevin Cosby, among others.

The project received help from prominent Louisvillians like Bill Samuels of Maker's Mark and the Reverend Bob Russell.

The Foundation supports the department by providing extra resources to create public awareness and help make the city safer.
