LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Democrats hosted a "Stop Elon" rally Saturday in protest of Elon Musk.
U.S. Congressman Morgan McGarvey, D-Louisville, led the rally, which featured local community leaders and organizations.
They said they are concerned about the decision to eliminate USAID and the Department of Education. They are also upset about Musk's access to the federal payment system that manages Social Security information.
Many in the crowd held signs saying they are rallying for change.
"Honest to goodness, that is one of the scariest things I have ever heard is a non-elected official making an determining the future of my children where I fought for 26 years for that democracy," said Col. Kirk Hilbrecht, retired U.S. Air Force.
Several union workers also joined in on the rally at the IBEW Local 369 on Preston Highway.
