LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- They risk their lives every day keeping us safe and Saturday was a big milestone.
The Louisville Fire Department's Truck Company 8 celebrated 100 years of service. Engine Company 10 also celebrated 150 years.
There were plenty of hot dogs and firehouse chili all serving Louisville's Beechmont community.
"Throughout the years companies were moved to different places so now here we are in 2024, Engine 10 and Truck 8 are assigned here," said Capt. Tamara Stewart. "We call it a double house because we have the truck and the engine."
The open house was for current members, retirees and the whole community.
