LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A new grant program is offering funding to local nonprofits to support events and programs celebrating America’s 250th anniversary in Louisville.

The 250 Lou Grants program will provide financial support for projects that highlight Louisville’s history, culture and community while aligning with the mission and vision of the Louisville America 250 Kentucky Committee.

Individual grants will be capped at $5,000, with a total of $48,000 available for distribution.

Applications for the 250 Lou Grants program are open through Feb. 27, according to Louisville Metro Government.

Funded projects must take place in Jefferson County by June 30, 2026. Grant recipients will be required to submit activity and financial reports in July.
