LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville police officers have arrested a man wanted for allegedly leaving his 4-month-old child in the car when he ran from a traffic stop last month.Â
LMPD said officers found Christopher Morris hiding in a closet Saturday morning, five weeks after he ran from officers who stopped his vehicle, according to a post on social media.Â
Police said Morris "took off like a bat out of hell" when officers tried to pull him over for a traffic stop. He abandoned his car in Village West, then took off on foot -- leaving the infant in the back of the car -- according to police.Â
The infant wasn't hurt, and was picked up by a grandparent after being checked out by EMS.
Morris was already wanted for multiple felony warrants, including: possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, parole violation for felony offense, flagrant non-support and harassment with physical contact.
He's now charged with child endangerment, and several other charges.Â
