LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — It's a case of turtle-napping.Â
In a Facebook post on Wednesday, the Louisville Nature Center said their two beloved male box turtles, Chocolate and Jack, were taken from their enclosure over the weekend.Â
The center said they have had Chocolate for many years, and he's a favorite of the staff and students. He can't survive in the wild by himself.
The center asks for whomever took the turtles to return them, no questions asked.
In an updated post later Wednesday, the center said they were amazed how the community has come together to find the turtles. The center has placed a box outside the turtles can be returned to.Â
