LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man died after a hit-and-run on Interstate 65 near Arthur Street on Monday morning, according to Louisville Metro Police.
LMPD said a man went onto I-65 southbound from Arthur Street after climbing over a guardrail around 1:30 a.m. He was standing along the shoulder when he was hit by a light color pickup truck that was traveling southbound. Police don't know the make or model or the truck.
LMPD spokesperson Aaron Ellis said the man was knocked to the ground after being hit by the truck. The truck didn't stop or render aid.
Police said a short time later, the man was hit by another two vehicles traveling southbound on I-65. Neither of those two vehicles that hit the man stopped.
Ellis said the man wasn't discovered until a call for service was reported at 9:15 a.m.
LMPD's Traffic Unit is handling the investigating.
The man hasn't been identified.
