LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man died after a house fire early Wednesday morning in Scott County, Indiana.
David Hosick, director of public affairs with the Indiana Department of Homeland Security, said the call came in around 4:45 a.m.
The fire happened in a home on Red Bud Lane, east of Austin, Indiana.
Hosick said a man escaped the home before returning to get a family pet but did not make it back out of the fire.
Officials believe the fire was "fully accidental" but it'll take some time until the exact cause is determined.
