LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Admission to the Muhammad Ali Center in downtown Louisville will be free from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 20, in celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Leaders of the Louisville museum said in a news release Monday that the national holiday is packed with a full day of activities, including:
- 10 a.m.: First screening of King's "I Have a Dream" speech, continuing at the top of each hour
- 12 p.m.: "Continuing the Dream, Continuing the Legacy," a panel from the annual Muhammad Ali Center Council of Students focused on King's message of equality, justice and peace and how it resonates today
In addition to the holiday celebration, the Muhammad Ali Center will host a private dedication Jan. 20 for its new Prayer and Reflection Room. A special blessing at 9:30 a.m. from several interfaith community leaders will highlight the room's connection to Ali.
