LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- There is one week left to sponsor wreaths for an annual ceremony held at Zachary Taylor National Cemetery.

The cemetery on Brownsboro Road in Louisville has a goal of placing 11,000 wreaths on graves of servicemembers. According to a news release, the cemetery only has 38% of its goal.

"We have one week to get sponsorships for the remaining 6,700 wreaths," Scott Giltner, location coordinator of Zachary Taylor National Cemetery, said in a release. "Please spread the word about Wreaths Across America at Zachary Taylor National Cemetery to your family members, friends, and neighbors and let them know how to sponsor a wreath."

A ceremony is scheduled to be held on Dec. 16.
