LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Nelson County Sheriff that was indicted on criminal charges earlier this year is running for re-election.
Nelson County Sheriff Roman Pineiroa posted on social media Monday, announcing his campaign.
Pineiroa and Chief Deputy Brandon Bryan are accused of illegally selling three vehicles from a Nelson County evidence warehouse. They're charged with abuse of public trust, theft by deception, and official misconduct.
They pleaded not guilty at their arraignment back in March.Â
Bryan and Pineiroa are scheduled to appear in court again in June.
