LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Nelson County students are set to head back to school in a couple of weeks.
Superintendent Wes Bradley visited WDRB Mornings on Thursday to talk about this year's community-based programs, which are able to take the students outside of the classroom.
"We, like much of Kentucky, are looking to continue collaboration with our community and create vibrant learning experiences," Bradley said. "Connecting our students with people and places in our community is a big part of what we do."
With these programs, students will learn in places like hospitals and airports.
The first day of school is Wednesday, Aug. 14.
