LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A vacant property in south Clarksville is getting a long-awaited makeover.

The Town of Clarksville and Millennium Builders announced a new single-family "pocket" subdivision coming to 129 North Randolph Avenue, near the intersection of Harrison and Randolph avenues.

Millennium Builders will soon begin construction on the South Valley neighborhood with 21 new single-family, detached homes featuring up to 1,400 square feet. The homes will have 3-4 bedrooms, 1.5-2 bathrooms and a garage or driveway. The homes are expected to be listed between $325,000 to $355,000.

The 2.5-acre property was once home to Paper Products, Inc., but it closed in 2020 when the Clarksville Redevelopment Commission bought the property.

A groundbreaking ceremony for the new South Valley neighborhood will be held on Friday, July 12 at 10 a.m. at the site.
