LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- It looks like Kentucky residents are thinking about signing up for health insurance this holiday season.
Officials say more than 11,000 people enrolled in the state exchange program during a 10-day period starting Thanksgiving week, but Gov. Steve Beshear's office says there's even more good news for supporters of the program.
During that period, nearly 4,000 people bought private health insurance plans -- that's a 32-percent increase. As of last week, nearly 72,000 people have enrolled using the Kynect Web site.
