The 17th annual Be the Match registry was held Sunday at Holy Family Church on Poplar Level Road.
Each year more than 400 people attend the event put on by the Community Health Ministry. Dozens of resources were offered all under one roof with the goal to be healthy in mind, body, and spirit.
Billy Klein, a cancer patient, is in need of blood match. He said without events like this, finding a match could take much longer.
"t makes you feel amazing, it really does," Klein said. "It makes you feel really good inside, just the support and love that everybody gives is truly amazing."
Those attending could take home a swab kit to get registered for a bone marrow or stem match registry.
