LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A former southern Indiana police officer is now in the battle of her life, and the Louisville Metro Police Foundation is asking for the community's help.
The foundation said Connie Viers got sick at her daughter's wedding rehearsal last week. She went to the ER, where she was put on life support.Â
Doctors said the 47-year-old will need a heart transplant because her heart is functioning at less than 30%.Â
Viers served with the Jeffersonville Police Department for 15 years, and her husband served with the Louisville Metro Police Department for 20 years.
