LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A portion of State Road 211 in Harrison County, Indiana will soon close for a box culvert installation.

The closure, scheduled for Tuesday or later, is just under half a mile west of State Road 111, according to a release from the Indiana Department of Transportation.

That stretch of the road is expected reopen in early July, weather permitting.

INDOT recommends drivers to use the official detour route, which follows State Road 111 to Interstate 64 westbound, then to Exit 118. Drivers will continue on State Road 62, then take State Road 11 before returning to State Road 211.

The closure is part of INDOT's $1.4 million contract with Mac Construction, which is heading the project.

A current closure on State Road 111 for the culvert project will reopen before work on this project begins.
