LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Pro-Palestine activists were arrested outside of a Louisville building following protests on early Friday morning.

According to organizers, they were there to protest the bombing in Gaza.

According to Louisville Metro Police spokesman Matthew Sanders, protestors were blocking all entrances to the Naval Ordnance complex, located in the Southland Park neighborhood near the Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport.

Organizers from the protest claim that RTX and BAE Systems are fueling the Israel-Hamas War because the manufacturers have large contracts with the Israeli military.

RTX is a manufacturer who makes missiles and big guns for aircrafts. According to their website, they produce about 50% of the world's defense products.

LMPD officers gave the protestors multiple warnings to move away from the private property, but they refused.

Organizers from the protest said they were there in the name of peace and wanted to take a stand against the companies that they believe are assisting in the violence in Gaza.

LMPD officers arrested 15 people. They were all charged with trespassing upon key infrastructure, a class B misdemeanor.
