LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Prom season can come with a high price tag, but a Louisville event will help teens show up in style.
Project Prom 2026 will take place 5-8 p.m. March 20 at the Chestnut Street YMCA, giving high school juniors and seniors the chance to shop prom dresses for just $10 while enjoying a full prom-style experience.
Organizers said the event focuses on more than fashion — it is about making sure every student feels confident, included and ready for one of the biggest nights of the year.
The evening will include a live DJ, a runway-style showcase and a team ready to help students find the perfect look. Accessories will also be available to complete outfits.
Students will also be able to book hair, nail and makeup appointments on-site before leaving, helping them get fully prepared for prom night.
All proceeds from dress sales will benefit the YMCA Black Achievers Program, supporting youth development and future leaders in the community.
Admission is free, and students are encouraged to arrive early and bring friends for a night filled with fashion, music and confidence-building moments.
