LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Savannah Bananas are bringing their 2024 Banana Ball World Tour to Louisville Slugger Field next year.

The three-game series will last for three days, Aug. 1-3, 2024.

A spokesperson said the team plays their own version of baseball, called Banana Ball. It's described as a "fast-paced, action-packed style of baseball with rules that include no bunting, a two-hour time limit, fans catching foul balls for outs, batters stealing first base and a one-on-one showdown at the end of a game that is tied."

During their stop in Louisville, the Bananas will play their rivals, the Party Animals.

"Fans here in town will love the unique experience the Bananas are sure to bring to Louisville Slugger Field," Louisville Bats President Greg Galiette said in a news release Thursday.

The team's roster includes former MLB stars and celebrity guests. When they're not touring, they play home games at Grayson Stadium in Savannah, Georgia. Officials said their games have been sold out for eight-straight years.

Tickets, which aren't on sale yet, will be sold by the Bananas starting at $35. Kids age 3 and under get in for free if they aren't going to occupy a seat, which is general admission with no assigned seating.

Those interested in purchasing tickets can sign up for the Ticket Lottery List, which provides an opportunity to be drawn for a chance to purchase tickets, although organizers said getting on the list doesn't guarantee tickets. The list will close on Dec. 1, 2023.
