LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The women's prison in Shelby County is seeing a surge in coronavirus cases.
The Kentucky Correctional Institution for Women in Pewee Valley said 159 inmates and 15 staff members have become infected with COVID-19.
About a month ago, officials with the facility said they would test all 600 inmates and 200 staffers after nearly a dozen inmates tested positive.
No inmates or staffers has died from the disease.
