Southern Indiana man's classic car collection

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Valued at millions of dollars, but the owners say it's priceless. A local family shows off their collection of classic cars.

Tucked away in Southern Indiana, you'll find a car collection that would make any enthusiast swoon.

"It's mostly rare cars some of them are prototypes," said car collector, Clem Lange.

His garage is packed with cars, some even stacked on each other. To keep the authenticity of the old classic cars dating back to the early 1900s, Clem Lange restores them himself.

"I like original cars, I like to keep them original, I don't like to change anything but there are some parts I have to make," said Lange.

His workshop is filled with buckets of paint and boxes of screws to make sure each and every car runs smoothly. The 79-year old started collecting cars when he was 20-years old

Lange said, "I think the last time I counted was 62."

More than 60 cars, in more than 50 years.

"Sometimes they say you've got Jay Leno beat all to hell with your cars," said Lange.

And each one has a unique story to share. Some stared in movies, others earned recognition on the road.

Lange said, "That's a great race car, it ran six great races across the United States."

Clem is still racing his collection around town, eager to show us his wheels.

"I think mechanic work and rebuilding something, I looked for different kind of cars than what everyone else had," said Lange.

It's a passion he shares with his son, Joey.

Joey said, "When I was young, dad started collecting cars and I helped him work on them and stuff like that. I just got into my area when I saw the muscle cars."

Joey Lange took us inside his show room, full of 50 plus technicolor cars.

"I love it, it's my hobby, every day after work I'm in my shed here," said Lange.

And when they're not working away in the garage, or admiring the classic collection. Joey and Clem Lange hit the open road.

"I don't know why I bought that many, I just love old cars," said

The Lange's will have some of their cars on display at the Concours d'Elegance at French Lick Resort next weekend. The car show starts on Friday.
