LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A southern Indiana man died in a car crash on Christmas Eve.

The Seymour Police Department said EMS responded around 3:30 p.m. Dec. 24 to Tipton Street and Community Drive after a motorcycle collided with a 2008 Chrysler Town & Country minivan. First responders arrived on scene to find Thomas Jones, of Seymour, unresponsive. 

Jones was transported to Schneck Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said the initial investigation found that the driver of the minivan, Debra Spurgeon, of Seymour, was turning south from Tipton Street toward the JayC parking lot when she collided with Jones.

Spurgeon submitted to a blood rest, and while toxicology results are pending, police don't suspect alcohol or drugs to be a factor.
