LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- The Jackson County Sheriff's Department has a furry new team member.
Sheriff Rick Meyer introduced Nyx, the department's new K-9 officer, on Facebook Tuesday, writing that "there's a new dog in town!"
Nyx will train with a sergeant for the next few weeks.
A grant that the sheriff's department applied for last year is paying for Nyx's equipment and training.
