LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Christi's Cafe on Dixie Highway in southwest Louisville got a shoutout in Southern Living magazine.

Louisville chef and author Edward Lee was featured in the magazine's May edition. He talked about his new book "Bourbon Land" and gave some recommendations for readers to try the next time they visit Louisville.

His recommendation for a hearty breakfast before hitting the bourbon trail is Christi's Cafe on Dixie Highway. He said to order the eggs with bacon or country-fried steak at the old-school diner.

Lee will be at the Frazier History Museum in downtown Louisville on Wednesday night for an event called "Southern Soul and Spirits: Exploring Bourbon Land with Chef Edward Lee."

Tickets are $75 for the event, which runs from 6:45-8:30 p.m.
