LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- St. Joe's Picnic will celebrate its 175th anniversary in Louisville this summer.
The annual fundraiser benefits children served by St. Joseph Children's Home, a nonprofit child-caring agency. The event starts Aug. 9 from 5-10 p.m. and Aug. 10 from noon to midnight at the front lawn of the campus at 2823 Frankfort Avenue.
Admission and parking are free for the event. Parking and shuttle service is available at the Southern Baptist Seminary at 2825 Lexington Road. The picnic will offer food, drinks, prizes and raffles
According to a news release, children 17 and younger must be within arm's length of a supervising adult after 8 p.m. Those who are 17 and younger not within an arm's length of a supervising adult have to leave the campus by 8 p.m.
The popular chicken dinner will be sold for $1.75 for a limited time. Those tickets can only be purchased with cash at the chicken dinner booth.
On Friday, Back 2 Mac, a tribute Fleetwood Mac band, will perform. Saturday's lineup will feature music from Louisville Bluegrass Band, Scene 7, Johnny Berry, Famous on Friday and RearView Mirror.
