St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway returns with $533K house in Mt. Washington

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A brand-new home in Bullitt County is at the center of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital’s Dream Home Giveaway, one of the organization’s largest annual fundraisers.

The home, built by Fischer Homes, sits in the Preserve at River Crest community in Mt. Washington and is valued at an estimated $533,000.

For $100 per ticket, participants can enter for a chance to win the house while supporting St. Jude’s mission of helping families with pediatric medical care costs.

"Every ticket goes toward the life-saving mission of St. Jude, and that is what’s most important above all else,” said Jhada McKnight, area advisor.

"We’re here for the kids, we’re here for the families at St. Jude, and that’s what’s most important."

In addition to the home, this year’s giveaway includes other prizes such as a $2,500 Visa gift card and an ultimate sports getaway for two.

The winner of the Dream Home Giveaway will be announced Oct. 1. Tickets are available online.
