LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An annual Irish tradition was celebrated in Louisville Saturday.
The 52nd Ancient Order of Hibernians' St. Patrick's Parade went down Baxter Avenue and Bardstown Road as thousands of people lined the streets. There were more than 100 entries of floats, vehicles and more.
The parade started at the corner of Broadway and Baxter Avenue, and then traveled up to Bardstown Road at Windsor Place. Attendees were treated to hand outs like candy, green beads, coins and more from people walking in the parade.
"Getting everybody outside, seeing all the floats, seeing the support from the community," said Andrew Pfaadt. "It is really nice."
The Hibernian Cultural and Charitable Association, a local nonprofit, fundraises for the event for charitable giving. For more information about this year's parade, click here.
St. Patrick's Day is Monday, March 17 this year.
