LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- No plans for spring break? From camps to field trips, there's plenty to do here in Louisville.
Nearly all of Louisville's community centers are hosting the spring break camps next week. Some of the activities include hands-on learning, and others involve field trips.
"He's in every spring break and summer camp," Kendra Wright said. "He plays pool. He says he can beat me in pool now."
Wright's 10-year-old son, Kanye, loves attending the Beechmont Community Center's spring break camp every year.

"It's good because it helps parents, (so they) can continue working when there's no school," she said.
The city offers affordable options for nearly every zip code in the county. Some of the city-run activities are arts-based, while others include sports. Field trips can include Jefferson Memorial Forest and more.
"You get a wide-variety of activities in one week,"Â Ben Johnson, director of Metro Parks and Recreation, said.
Registration is still open for camps. No matter what program you choose, or how many days your child goes, it'll cost $25. City leaders do ask that you to pack a lunch for your child.
"You can't beat that. We are gonna have your little babies for five days. That's five dollars a day, less than a dollar an hour; and as much as we love them, we feel like that is a pretty fair rate," Johnson said.
Johnson said the city canceled its registration deadline in an effort to keep the programs open to families as a last-minute resort.
"Sometimes what happens is people have plans and they fall through, or people have plans and they change. Or different things can happen, so we want to make sure we are responsive to the community and to the families," Johnson said.
Other options in town include the Louisville Zoo or the Parklands of Floyds Fork, or even sending your kids to Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest, or the Frazier Museum. Those costs vary per day.
"It's good to have your kid around other kids that way they're not bored in the house on electronics," Wright said.
Two of the programs are already full, but the city said there are still plenty of options.
