LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Sullivan University has suspended a faculty member charged with allegedly exposing himself near Cherokee Park.

According to court documents, Paul M. Hall, 64, was cited Monday afternoon on Alta Vista Road. He faces a charge of indecent exposure.

Sullivan University has been made aware of the disturbing allegations, including those posted on social media, about a faculty member. While this matter is under investigation, the faculty member has been suspended. The University has not made a determination of guilt or wrongdoing, but rather we made the choice of a suspension immediately after learning of the allegations yesterday evening out of an abundance of caution for the welfare of our students, faculty, and staff. We are currently gathering additional information and attempting to verify the allegations in order to ensure the matter is handled appropriately. Nothing is more important than the safety and well-being of our students, staff, faculty and the community at large, and behavior of the sort described on the social media post will never be tolerated by this university.

"Honestly, it surprised me a lot," said Alex Ghinn, who, along with Haley Green, witnessed Hall in the act. "It just make me feel more sick."

Green and Ghinn tried to confront Hall, but he ran away and eventually fell and hurt his arm. The women were able to keep Hall from driving away until police arrived.

"I was like,'Dude, I think that that guy is like touching himself and looking at these kids," Ghinn said.

The women believe one of the officers who responded to the scene was familiar with Hall.

"We were standing right there and we heard it," Green said. "They said, 'Remember the last time we had to come here and talk to you about this?'"

Hall is scheduled to be in court in December.
