LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The 19th anniversary of the Comair Flight 5191 crash that killed 49 people at Lexington Bluegrass Airport is Aug. 27.
The early morning tragedy happened after the jet that was headed to Atlanta failed to become airborne during takeoff. The crew's first officer was the only survivor.
A federal investigation revealed the plane taxied onto a runway that was too short.
