LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - A shooting victim in a domestic violence altercation has died, according to Eddie Robinson, Deputy Coroner for Jefferson County.

Ollie Davis, 29, died at 12:37 Saturday morning at University Hospital, where he had been taken after he was shot Feb. 26 on Wilson Ave., near 22nd St.

Candra McWhorter was arrested on the evening of Monday, March 3, after police say she shot Davis in the chest with a handgun, according to an arrest report.

Police records indicate that McWhorter became involved in an argument that escalated, resulting in McWhorter retrieving a handgun and shooting the victim in the chest.

McWhorter was initially charged with first degree assault when the shooting first occurred. Police say the charges have been amended to include murder. She will be arraigned Monday morning.
