LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- One person was killed in a crash early this morning on Interstate-265 at Interstate 65. 

Louisville Metro Police spokesman Dwight Mitchell says it happened around 5:15 a.m.

The victim,  46-year-old Ricky Paul, died at the scene of multiple blunt force injuries at 5:24 a.m.

According to Mitchell, Paul was ejected from his Chevy truck after slamming into a guardrail. Police say he was not wearing a seat belt. 

The Louisville Metro Police Traffic Unit is investigating. Traffic is being detoured on to Preston Highway.

The road reopened around 8:30 a.m.
