LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The coroner has identified the woman killed in a crash on the Gene Snyder Freeway Wednesday.
Bob Jones with the Coroner's Office says 19-year-old Kayla Brown from PRP was pronounced dead at the scene in the northbound lanes of the Snyder between Taylorsville Road and Interstate 64 just after 5 p.m.
LMPD officials say the car Brown was riding in was rear-ended by a white sedan, causing it to veer off the road and flip several times before coming to rest on its roof.
Two other people were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Their identities were not released.
The driver of the white sedan left the scene, and police want to speak with him. Police say the driver was a man with red hair.
The northbound lanes of the Snyder were closed for several hours while police cleared the scene.
