LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Thursday night at Oxmoor Farm began with a game of polo, and it finished with a proposal.
"Twilight Polo for a Purpose" in St. Matthews was the official kickoff to the Louisville Polo Club's 2018 season. It benefits medical research at the University of Louisville.
In the middle of the night, one of the players proposed to his girlfriend ... with the help of a horse.
"This is epic," said Julia Naber, the unsuspecting now-fiancee. "What a cool way to do it. He knows what I love. My favorite hobby, my passion, is polo."
This was the third year for the event. A portion of this year's proceeds will go to Parkinson's and Alzheimer's research.
