Louisville, Ky. (WDRB News) -- A local band made an appearance Sunday night in an episode of the Fox comedy American Dad. The song "Majestic" from Louisville band Wax Fang inspired the episode of American Dad.
Show producer Mike Barker called lead singer Scott Carney to ask if he could feature the band in the special 150th episode.
The band agreed and Carney admitted the band is pleased with result.
"It's a huge honor for sure, it's a total shocker, totally came out of left field, I would've never guessed something like this happening, it's totally awesome," said Scott Carney, vocalist Wax Fang.
Sunday night's episode also featured Wax Fang's song "At Sea." Barker discovered the band through the band My Morning Jacket.
Wax Fang just released a new single, "The Blonde Leading the Blonde" from their upcoming album The Astronaut.
