People can drop off expired, unused or unwanted prescription drugs for free, along with vaping pens without batteries or cartridges. No needles, new or used, will be accepted.
More than two million poisonings are reported each year to the country's poison control centers. According to the American Association of Poison Control Centers, 93% of poisonings happen at home, and 45% of poisonings involve children younger than 6 years old.
Police said counterfeit prescription pills are "impossible to distinguish" from the real pills and are flooding the country, often sold as Oxycodone, Adderall, Xanax or Percocet.
