The University of Louisville men’s basketball team needs a complete makeover: backcourt, front court, mid court, court side, courtyard.
At the invitation of University of Louisville President Dr. Neeli Bendapudi, more than 50 former U of L basketball players met with Bendapudi, Athletic Director Vince Tyra and head coach Chris Mack for nearly two hours Monday afternoon to discuss improving the relationship between the school and players.

Former Louisville basketball All-American Butch Beard and university president Dr. Neeli Bendapudi spoke for more than an hour Thursday afternoon about concerns Beard raised about the lack of diversity in administrative and coaching jobs at U of L, its honoring of Wes Unseld and other issues.
In a letter to University of Louisville president Dr. Neeli Bendapudi, former U of L basketball all-American Alfred “Butch” Beard asked the school “to remove my name and accomplishments from any existing or future mention.”
