Clark County Health Officer Dr. Eric Yazel said for the first time since the pandemic began, online county data showed zero new positive COVID-19 cases one day this week.

The state health department also reported 43 additional virus-related deaths in the state on Saturday.

More than 7,000 Hoosiers have died from the virus since the pandemic began. 

Sunday's report brings the Hoosier State to 425,434 total coronavirus cases since the start of the pandemic. 

More than 5,900 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from the virus. 

In southern Indiana, Clark County reported 43 new cases, and Floyd County reported 24 new cases. 

As of Saturday, 990 people were confirmed to be hospitalized with the virus, according to ISDH. 

Health officials in the state release the total of new cases and deaths every morning.

Roughly 55% of COVID-19 deaths in Indiana are attributed to residents of long-term care facilities.
