Dozens of Louisville artists have spent weeks working on thousands of pumpkins ahead of the Jack O'Lantern Spectacular, a fall tradition in Iroquois Park that kicks off Tuesday.
The Jack O’Lantern Spectacular draws people from all over every year to one of Kentuckiana's favorite Halloween events. But before a sigh of relief can be let out, dozens of artists and workers are making sure the 2022 iteration lives up to its name.
Pumpkins are placed all around the room, waiting to be carved as the stack of cardboard boxes piles up.
In a news release from the Parks Alliance of Louisville, officials said they expect tens of thousands of people to visit the park for the annual fall and winter events.
The event runs from Oct. 4 through Halloween.
The theme in 2021 is "Changing the Channel: A Timeline of Television History."
A giant pacific octopus at the Newport Aquarium is celebrating Halloween with him very own jack-o'-lantern.
The trail will be open from Oct. 8 through Nov. 3 and will remain open from dusk until 11 p.m. and is located next to the Iroquois Amphitheater.
