The Kentucky Derby Festival is asking for the public to vote for the best burger around.
The Kentucky Beef Council sponsors the annual event, which runs through July 21.
Customers will be able to enjoy burgers from restaurants all over the city during Louisville Burger Week for only $7 from July 15-21.
Burger recipes are being accepted now through March 3 for the annual Derby Burger competition held by KDF and the Kentucky Beef Council.
But one Louisville restaurant is offering a special preview on Thursday, July 15.
The Kentucky Beef Council presents the Fifth Annual Burger Week across Louisville restaurants from Monday, July 19, to Sunday, July 25.
The winning entry is “saucy, fruity and surprising,” the KDF said, as it “packs its flavor in the savory bourbon sauce” and blackberry jam.
